Uh hey. I'm Ruby Nakamura. I'm an import and I'd like to schedule a meeting to talk with you about the school. I'm interested in becoming a student, but I have some questions I'd like to ask first. I can be contacted at [Her phone number is recited as if from memory] or on the Network under the UN Candlelight.

Thank you, I look forward to your reply.

Hello, Mr. Strickler. I do. First I was wondering about security. Are there ways to keep unauthorised photographers off school grounds? I'm not talking about students taking selfies or anything like that, but more random adults coming in and taking photos.

This is a relief to hear. Is the [ There's a pause in her speech as she tries to find the right word. ] Roster? [ Close enough? ] Is the roster of students private? Or is that public knowledge?

That's fine. Honestly, I'm just trying to keep it on the down low in most areas that I'm an import for now. [ She pauses again, unsure if she should mention why she wants to do this, but deciding it would be better to be up front. Better to embarrass herself than to mark herself as a threat by accident. ] I want a chance to get to know people as someone who isn't a novelty, even if it's going to be figured out pretty quick.

Are the grades strict? Or do you allow students who excel in one subject but not others to take a higher grade in one thing and a lower grade in the areas they're weak in?

That's a relief. All of it, is really, but especially the grades thing. I figured that might be the case, but I've been in enough situations to know it's silly to assume people are going to think that far ahead. Er- not saying you wouldn't. I don't know you well enough to know one way or another. As an imPort yourself it might be a safe assumption but -- Urgh. You work with kids. You know what I meant. [ There is the distinct sound of a head hitting a table. ]

Are people with violent histories who have no desire to carry out violent acts allowed to attend? Oh, uh, and is there a list of classes?

Thank you. I'm willing to give you my history if asked, I'm not exactly keeping it a secret on the network. But know that the only violence I intend to dole out is the type that helps people. Like, official stuff. I'm not interested in brawls in the halls.

[ There's a pause. ]

I could use training in, uh, scaling back my combat skills to be less damaging. Are there ways to keep things safe for all participants when this is being learned? I'm also seeking help in this area from the Justice League, so if it can't be assured I'm more than okay with simply not doing combat-based training on school property.

This might be a stupid question, since it's a school for people with super powers, but do you have stuff in place for training people who have fire-based powers?

Thank you. Ah, it's not that I have super strength or anything. It's more that I need to be trained to aim for parts that won't knock out or seriously injure someone. I was trained in mostly how to damage people fast and quick, and only know a few ways to disable someone without causing much damage. I'll be sure to make this clear to an instructor so that they can make needed adjustments.

That's a relief. I noticed the sprinklers in the parts of the school I was able to inspect, but I left early, so I never got to see much more of the indoors than the halls and a couple classrooms.

I don't think I have a legal guardian here. What steps would I need to take to enroll?
